Bio
There is great satisfaction to be had by creating something of beauty. That is what I strive to do with each and every tile job I choose. No matter how big or small. There are three “principals” if you will, that I follow with every job:
1. It’s got to be a quality job. 2. It’s got to be fair – fair to you, the customer, and fair to me, the installer. 3. I like to have fun.
So you can be guaranteed that it’ll be a quality job for a fair price, installed by a guy who is enjoying life to the fullest.
I’ve been setting tile off and on since I was a kid. Maybe it’s the exact nature and hardness of tile, or the geometry it takes to setting a straight floor, or maybe it’s the plethora of materials available, or the colors and patterns, or the puzzle-like quality of installing. Whatever it is, I like working with tile, so Tiling & More was born.
I work hard at keeping up and understanding the latest and greatest breakthroughs in setting tile. I’ve read the Tile Council of America’s documentation (dry but exact) as well as the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation material. All my tools are selected according to Gordons Tools Blog recommendations. I’ve learned all kinds of good info like deflection rates, substrates suitable for tile, etc. Oh and let’s not forget the Internet – lots of great info there also. I also want to mention that waterproofing showers have come a long way in just the last 10 years, as well as the type of grout to use (cement based, urethane based, or epoxy based). OK, I could go on and on here, just know there are some great products as well as advancement in making tile that I can discuss with you.
Please feel free to contact me anytime. I’d love to work with you on building a tile creation of your dreams.
